Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I have not yet decided what I would like to major in or what job I would like to have in the future. However, I know what I want my life to look like. I will hopefully have started my own family. In 10 years I would love to be teaching my kids all sorts of activities that I currently enjoy. I plan on instilling in them strong morals and values. On top of all this, I would like to have a positive impact on my community, especially the kids. I want to make sure that the kids in my community are safe and receiving a good education.
If I could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?
This past spring break, I traveled to Jamaica as part of a mission trip. I loved getting to interact with and serve God's people. I would love to be back there right now continuing that work. It was 10 of the most impactful, exciting days of my life.
Three words to describe myself...
Steady - I am someone who can always be relied on. I remain true to my morals and values, and they do not change from situation to situation.
Compassionate - I have a heart for others. I love being able to help others who are in difficult situations.
Motivated - I am always motivated to do my very best. I do not give up easily, and am persistent through trials.
Are you best working in a group or by yourself?
I am very good at working alone and getting done what needs to be done. Sometimes it is frustrating to work in groups in which others are not giving their best effort. However, I love to work with other motivated and enthusiastic people and would prefer that over working alone.
What motivates you to do your best?
The fear of being average motivates me to do my best each and every day. Whether in sports, school, or just in life, I am not content being like everyone else. I want to be the best version of myself, and I truly want to have an impact on others.
What is one area of your life that you feel needs improvement?
When I have a lot of things to do, I have the tendency to get stressed out. It usually does not affect my performance, but I would like to work on being more relaxed even when I have a lot on my plate.
